I went back to Cincy this weekend, and saw a guy hitchhiking on the side of the road, and picked him up. Come to find out he had 300 lbs of gear and was riding from Broome County, NY, all the way to Louisville, KY. That is almost a 600 mile bike ride, probably more since having to take back roads. He could only go about 30 miles a day, max, and I gave him a ride to Cincy.I dropped him off with a buddy of mine, Adam, who kindly gave him a place to sleep, and a ride to Louisville the next day. He was a great guy, and I hope the best for him.
